Yesterday's photo shoot was a lot of fun! We got to go down to the junkyard that's slightly out of town and pose around old cars and buses. It took the majority of the afternoon, but was well worth it. Today was another long day due to the time I missed yesterday.
In the office I did a few small projects for Gregg such as creating a graph of Weatherized homes and audits that 4CORE predicts to complete, goals, and actual numbers. This will be filled out over the course of the next year and a half from 4CORE's Wx Crew. I handed off the work I had done with the new Home Rx forms to Gregg, which he is now taking to the next step and presenting to other staff on how to refine what I had done (in pencil, luckily) and change for the future. I also worked with Sandhya to see if any of 4CORE's fund donors had been "blacklisted" which would be pretty bad news for 4CORE's funding... As it turns out none of the local donors had been blacklisted, which is convenient.
I tried contacting 4CORE's photographer to see if he can drop off some pictures that I can use in the HUB image I need to put together, but he has not contacted me back, and I now am pretty sure that the HUB image will not be presented at the exhibition AHS is holding on Friday. Teresa was not in today but I mostly worked with Sandhya and Gregg to get a lot of work done. She will be in tomorrow, and we plan to do a quick wrap-up of my time here at 4CORE over the last 3 weeks! It is surprising how fast the time has gone by, and honestly I'm regretting having to go back to school and homework after having had this internship experience!
Steve Smith came into 4CORE today to pay me a visit, which I have been wondering when would happen. I very briefly talked to him about 4CORE, what I have learned here, as well as showed him some of the work I have been doing here. Tomorrow is going to fly by and I am sad that it will be my last day! But it has also been a wonderful experience, needless to say.
